The vast majority of the products that we manufacture here at Warwick Development are PVC-U from Eurocell Plc. Thanks to advances in recycling and product innovation, PVC-U is now widely recognised as a sustainable option for the construction industry.
An environmentally sound option:
• PVC-U windows achieve an A rating for residential buildings and an A+ rating for commercial projects in the BRE Green Guide
• Recycled PVC-U offers hundreds of years’ worth of usage
• Reduced environmental impact
• Purposed engineered to offer superior energy efficiency
• Reduced amount of PVC-U going to landfill
Low Impact, High Performance
Old PVC-U window frames can be recycled and repurposed up to 10 times without the quality or performance deteriorating. According to the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the average lifespan of PVC-U windows is 35 years, which means PVC-U can offer up to 350 years of high performance, with minimal impact on the environment
Let us recycle your old Frames!
Here at Warwick Development we have the facility for you to drop your old PVC-U frames off to be recycled.
All of the old frames that we collect are sent to Eurocell who were named the national winners of the sustainability category at the Future Manufacturing Awards in 2018 for their commitment to improving overall environmental performance and enhancing sustainability.
Over the past decade, Eurocell has invested c£10m in its recycling facility, Eurocell Recycle, making it the largest of its kind in the UK. This investment has enabled Eurocell to increase capacity within the recycling plant to expand the range of products which can be manufactured using recycled material.
Through the significant investment and the considered planning, management and execution of its state-of-the-art recycling facility, Eurocell has prevented over 61,500 tonnes of end-of-life PVC-U ending in landfill and in 2018 alone, it recycled in excess of 1.2 million frames.
This is why we are proud to manufacture windows and doors using Eurocell PVC-U.
What happens to the frames that are sent to be recycled?
The majority of new window and door products that we manufacture now use post-consumer recycled PVC-U. Regardless of age, colour or finish the returned frames can be turned into the components used in our latest range of products.
It should be noted that the outer faces remain virgin PVC-U for colour matching at maintaining a quality finish.
